The City of Fort Collins and C.B. & Potts Collindale on Friday afternoon, October 8th are kicking off the weekend by celebrating CSU’s Homecoming and the 50th Anniversary of Collindale Golf Course. It’s Friday Night Lights, a party that features great food including smoked turkey legs and other bbq favorites, the Zwei Brewery outdoor biergarten, where they’re pouring your favorite local craft brewed beer and Deep Eddy Vodka features. There will be plenty of tunes, come and get your groove on with live music provided by Funky Business. Fun for all ages there’s bratwursts, hot ogs and the full Potts menu will also be available.

Meet your friends here, come early and take in all of the fun and festivities. After dark, the main event will take center stage with a fabulous fireworks display choreographed to music over the golf course.

With plenty of family fun, the celebration will begin at 3pm and continue until 10. The event is free for the public to attend and to accommodate parking the city will be closing the driving range at the course for the day and parking cars in that area that runs along Lemay just south of Horesetooth Rd. Close in parking will be a premium at the event and attendees will be encouraged to car pool, walk in or ride a bike. Parking also will be available in Warren Park in addition to the neighborhoods surrounding the golf course. All are encouraged to bring a blanket to spread out on and enjoy the fireworks show.
